Anna Wheeler

ანა ვილერი (1780-1848) იყო ირლანდიელი ავტორი და ქალთა პოლიტიკური და რეპროდუქციული უფლებების დამცველი. ვილერი ახალგაზრდა გათხოვდა, ჰყავდა მოძალადე ქმარი და 6 შვილი; 12-წლიანი ქორწინების შემდეგ ის დაშორდა მეუღლეს და თავს ირჩენდა ფრანგ ფილოსოფოსთა (განსაკუთრებით, შარლ ფურიეს) ნაშრომების თარგმნით. ანა ვილერი იყო ფილოსოფოს უილიამ ტომპსონის მეგობარი და თანამოაზრე. ტომპსონი აცხადებდა, რომ ანა ვილერი იყო მისი ტრაქტატის „მოწოდება ადამიანთა რასის ერთი ნახევრის სახელით...“ მრავალი იდეის ავტორი მთელი წიგნის თანაავტორად ასახელებდა მას. ვილერი ბევრს მოგზაურობდა და პირადად იცნობდა თავის თანამედროვე მნიშვნელოვან მოაზროვნეებს. გარდა ტომპსონისა, ვილერის თანამოაზრეთა და თანამებრძოლთა შორის იყვნენ შარლ ფურიე, რობერტ ოუენი, ანრი სენ-სიმონი.

ვილერი ერთ-ერთი პირველი ქალი იყო,  რომელიც ქალთა თანასწორობის მოთხოვნით გამოდიოდა საჯარო თავშეყრის ადგილებში. ის მოითხოვდა ქალისა და კაცისთვის განათლებისა და მუშაობის თანაბარ უფლებებს; ამტკიცებდა ქორწინებისა და განქორწინების შესახებ კანონებში ისეთი ცვლილებების შეტანის აუცილებლობას, რომლებიც ქალების მიმართ არსებულ ორმაგ სტანდარტს აღმოფხვრიდა და  მათ თანაბარ უფლებებს მიანიჭებდა.
